What's the difference between CLEP and DSST?
Both let you earn college credit by exam. CLEP® (College Board, ~$93) has 34 subjects and the widest college acceptance. DSST® (Prometric, ~$100) adds 30+ more, including upper-level subjects CLEP doesn't cover. Use the All / CLEP® / DSST® filter above to see which courses prep for which exam — some subjects are available in both.
What is the backup ACE/NCCRS credit path?
If you don't pass your exam — or aren't ready to test — your subscription includes the same subject as an ACE/NCCRS-recommended course. Complete it online, earn official recommended credit, and transfer it. Same destination, different road.
Does my subscription cover the exam fee?
No. CLEP® fees (~$93) go to College Board and DSST® fees (~$100) go to Prometric, paid at the test center or online proctor. Your plan covers prep and the backup course. Active-duty military test free via DANTES.
Can I just buy one course?
Yes. Every prep course can be taken individually, or unlock the whole library with a subscription. For most students a plan is the better value once you're prepping more than one subject.

Which colleges accept the credit?
CLEP® and DSST® credit is accepted at 2,900+ U.S. colleges, and ACE/NCCRS backup credit at 2,100+. Acceptance is always set by the receiving school — check your Registrar's credit-by-exam policy before you test.
How is each prep course structured?
Every course is broken into chapters and subchapters, each followed by a readiness quiz, with video lessons and full-length practice tests so you know you're ready before booking the exam.
Is there a free trial?
Yes — you can start a free trial to explore the library and see how the chapter-and-quiz system works before paying for a plan.
Can I switch between CLEP and DSST?
Yes. You can move between programs or change plans anytime from your account; changes take effect at your next billing cycle. The simplest way to get both programs is the Lifetime plan.
Are the exams free for military?
Both CLEP® and DSST® exam fees are free for active-duty military through DANTES. TransferCredit provides the prep; DANTES covers the exam — zero out of pocket on the test itself.
Do I get future course additions?
Yes. Every active subscriber — including Lifetime — gets access to every new CLEP® and DSST® course we add, with no upgrade fees for new content.
What's your refund policy?
Subscriptions and Lifetime purchases are non-refundable, but you can cancel Monthly or Semester plans anytime to stop future charges. We recommend the free trial first. Questions? [email protected].
