What's the difference between CLEP and DSST plans?
Pricing is identical for both programs — $29 monthly or $69 per semester. CLEP plans unlock all 25+ CLEP® prep courses; DSST plans unlock all 17+ DSST® prep courses. Both include readiness quizzes and the backup ACE/NCCRS credit path. The $149 Lifetime plan unlocks both CLEP and DSST together, for life.
What does the $149 Lifetime plan include?
Lifetime is a single payment that gives permanent access to both CLEP® and DSST® prep — every current and future subject across both programs — plus a 12-month ACE/NCCRS access window covering 70+ recommended courses. There are no renewals, ever.
Can I cancel at any time?
Yes. Monthly and Semester plans can be cancelled anytime from your account settings — cancellation stops future charges. Lifetime is a one-time payment, so there's nothing to cancel. No cancellation fees, ever.
Does the exam fee come out of my subscription?
No. CLEP® fees (about $93) are paid to College Board and DSST® fees (about $100) are paid to Prometric, at the testing center or via remote proctoring. Your subscription covers prep content and readiness quizzes only. Active-duty military can take both exams free via DANTES.
What is the backup ACE/NCCRS credit path?
If you don't pass your exam — or aren't ready to take one yet — your subscription includes access to ACE and NCCRS-recommended self-paced courses covering the same subject. Complete the course online, earn official recommended credit, and transfer to one of 2,100+ accepting institutions. Same destination, different road.
Can I switch between CLEP and DSST, or change plans?
Yes. You can upgrade, downgrade, or move between programs anytime from your account. Plan changes take effect at your next billing cycle. The simplest way to get both programs is the Lifetime plan, which covers CLEP and DSST together. Email [email protected] for help with a transition.
Is there a free trial?
Yes. You can start a free trial to explore the platform before committing to a paid plan. Browse the course library and see how the chapter + quiz system works before you decide.
Do I get access to future course additions?
Yes. All active subscribers — including Lifetime — get access to every new CLEP® and DSST® course we add to the platform as part of their plan. No upgrade fees for new content.
What happens when my Lifetime ACE/NCCRS window ends?
Your CLEP® and DSST® prep access stays permanent — that's the "lifetime" part. The 12-month ACE/NCCRS access is a bonus window during which you can complete and earn credit for those specific courses. After 12 months you can re-activate ACE/NCCRS access separately if needed, but your prep never expires.
Which plan should I pick?
Prepping for 1–2 subjects this month? Go Monthly. Planning a serious push with 5+ subjects over a term? Semester gives the best per-month value. Building credit long-term across both CLEP and DSST? Lifetime pays for itself after about 5 months and covers both programs forever.
Are there military, student, or group discounts?
Military: CLEP® and DSST® exam fees are already free via DANTES — the biggest savings come from that program. Group / institutional pricing for classrooms, homeschool co-ops, or campus tutoring centers is available on request — email [email protected] with your group size.
What's your refund policy?
All subscriptions and Lifetime purchases are non-refundable. You can cancel Monthly or Semester plans anytime to stop future charges — but already-paid periods are not refunded. We strongly encourage using the free trial first. For billing disputes or technical issues preventing access, email [email protected].
Is my credit really guaranteed?
Your path to credit is guaranteed — not a specific grade. If exam day doesn't go your way, the backup ACE/NCCRS credit path is already included in your plan. ACE and NCCRS credit acceptance is determined solely by the receiving institution — always verify with your Registrar.
