How Transfer Credits Work at Eastern Gateway Community College

For students interested in credit-by-exam options, Eastern Gateway Community College may consider CLEP credit in accordance with its own transfer and placement policies. Acceptance of CLEP and other exam-based credit can vary by course, program, and degree requirements. Students should confirm applicability with the college before relying on exam credit for graduation planning.

Students may also have options involving CLEP®, DSST, AP, ACE, or NCCRS credits, depending on EGCC's current policies. Not every alternative credit source is automatically accepted, so verify eligibility before completing a course or exam.

Approved credits may count toward general education, major requirements, electives, or other degree requirements depending on the evaluation. Eastern Gateway Community College transfer credits should therefore be reviewed against the specific degree program.
