CLEP Credits at Fontbonne University

Fontbonne University is a private Catholic university in St. Louis, Missouri. It was founded by the Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet and has long served students in the St. Louis region. The university is known for a close-knit campus environment and a mission shaped by Catholic and liberal arts traditions.

Fontbonne offers undergraduate and graduate study across a range of fields, with programs in the liberal arts, sciences, education, business, and health-related areas. The university has also been recognized for professional and career-oriented preparation, especially in areas that connect classroom learning with practical experience. Students often choose Fontbonne for its smaller-campus setting and individualized academic support.

For CLEP and transfer credit purposes, Fontbonne University is the kind of institution that typically evaluates prior learning through its admissions and registrar processes rather than granting blanket credit automatically. Students interested in CLEP should confirm in advance whether a specific exam is accepted and how it may apply to a degree program. Transfer credit policies can vary by department, major, and course equivalency, so official review is important before enrolling.

Students may also have options involving CLEP®, DSST, AP, ACE, or NCCRS credits, depending on Fontbonne's current policies. Not every alternative credit source is automatically accepted, so verify eligibility before completing a course or exam.

Approved credits may count toward general education, major requirements, electives, or other degree requirements depending on the evaluation. Fontbonne University transfer credits should therefore be reviewed against the specific degree program.
