CLEP Credits at Marygrove College

Marygrove College was a private Catholic college in Detroit, Michigan. It was founded in 1905 by the Sisters, Servants of the Immaculate Heart of Mary. The college served students in the Detroit area for more than a century before ending its degree-granting operations.

The college offered undergraduate and graduate programs with a liberal arts orientation and a strong emphasis on education and service. Marygrove was especially known for preparing teachers and for programs connected to urban and community engagement. Because the institution is closed, its academic offerings are part of its historical record rather than current enrollment options.

For transfer and credit-by-exam purposes, Marygrove should be treated as a closed institution. Students seeking to use CLEP or transfer credit in connection with Marygrove records would need to work through the institution that now holds its transcripts and academic records. Any credit evaluation would depend on the receiving school or records custodian rather than on an active Marygrove admissions or registrar office.

Students may also have options involving CLEP®, DSST, AP, ACE, or NCCRS credits, depending on Marygrove College's current policies. Not every alternative credit source is automatically accepted, so verify eligibility before completing a course or exam.

Approved credits may count toward general education, major requirements, electives, or other degree requirements depending on the evaluation. Marygrove College transfer credits should therefore be reviewed against the specific degree program.
