CLEP Exams at The Illinois Institute of Art at Schaumburg

The Illinois Institute of Art at Schaumburg was a private college located in Schaumburg, Illinois, in the Chicago metropolitan area. It was part of The Art Institutes system and served students seeking career-focused education in art, design, and related creative fields. The campus is no longer operating.

As an art and design school, the institution offered programs associated with creative and applied arts disciplines. Schools in this system typically emphasized hands-on, career-oriented training rather than broad liberal arts study. I am not highly confident about the exact program inventory for this specific campus, so I am not listing specific majors here.

For CLEP and transfer-credit purposes, students at institutions like this generally needed to have credits evaluated by the receiving school before transfer or exam credit could be applied. Because this campus is closed, current CLEP or transfer-credit policies would depend on the policies of any successor institution or the school that accepted the credits. I am not confident enough to state a campus-specific CLEP policy as a fact.

Students may also have options involving CLEP®, DSST, AP, ACE, or NCCRS credits, depending on The Illinois Institute of Art at Schaumburg's current policies. Not every alternative credit source is automatically accepted, so verify eligibility before completing a course or exam.

Approved credits may count toward general education, major requirements, electives, or other degree requirements depending on the evaluation. The Illinois Institute of Art at Schaumburg transfer credits should therefore be reviewed against the specific degree program.
