About the college

About Presentation College

Presentation College was a private Catholic college in Aberdeen, South Dakota. It was founded by the Presentation Sisters and served students in northeastern South Dakota and beyond. The college later closed in 2023.

The college offered undergraduate programs in a range of health sciences and liberal arts fields, with a strong emphasis on professional preparation. Its academic profile was especially associated with nursing and other health-related programs. Because program offerings changed over time, only broad descriptions are appropriate without a current catalog.

  • Private Catholic heritage rooted in the mission of the Presentation Sisters
  • Located in Aberdeen, South Dakota and historically served regional students
  • Health-sciences emphasis with notable nursing-related offerings
  • Regionally accredited by the Higher Learning Commission
  • Closed in 2023, so current enrollment and credit policies no longer apply
Transfer credit policy

How Transfer Credits Work at Presentation College

For CLEP and transfer-credit purposes, Presentation College should be understood as a former institution rather than an active one. Students seeking credit evaluation would have needed to follow the college's own policies while it was operating. Any current CLEP or transfer-credit acceptance would now depend on records, teach-out arrangements, or the policies of successor institutions handling transcripts.

Students may also have options involving CLEP®, DSST, AP, ACE, or NCCRS credits, depending on Presentation College's current policies. Not every alternative credit source is automatically accepted, so verify eligibility before completing a course or exam.

Approved credits may count toward general education, major requirements, electives, or other degree requirements depending on the evaluation. Presentation College transfer credits should therefore be reviewed against the specific degree program.

Transfer tip: Check your transfer credit evaluation and compare accepted credits with your Presentation College degree requirements before planning additional coursework.
