CLEP Exams at Green Mountain College

Green Mountain College was a private liberal arts college in Poultney, Vermont, in the United States. It operated as a small residential college in a rural setting before closing in 2019. The campus and institution were known for their environmental focus and close-knit academic community.

The college offered undergraduate programs in the liberal arts and sciences, with particular emphasis on environmental studies and sustainability-related learning. It was also known for experiential education and for integrating environmental themes across campus life and academics. Because the college is closed, it no longer enrolls students or offers active degree programs.

For CLEP and transfer-credit purposes, Green Mountain College should be treated as a closed institution. Students seeking to use credits earned there, or to determine how credits were previously evaluated, would need to work through official transcript and records channels rather than current academic departments. Any current credit-by-exam or transfer-credit policies would no longer be active at the institution itself.

Students may also have options involving CLEP®, DSST, AP, ACE, or NCCRS credits, depending on Green Mountain College's current policies. Not every alternative credit source is automatically accepted, so verify eligibility before completing a course or exam.

Approved credits may count toward general education, major requirements, electives, or other degree requirements depending on the evaluation. Green Mountain College transfer credits should therefore be reviewed against the specific degree program.
