Transfer credit policy

How Transfer Credits Work at National American University-Colorado Springs

For CLEP and transfer-credit purposes, National American University has historically been a school where students may be able to bring in prior learning or exam-based credit, but acceptance depends on the institution's current policies and the student's program. CLEP credit is not automatic and is usually subject to score requirements, course equivalency rules, and degree applicability. Students should confirm whether a particular exam or transfer course will satisfy a specific requirement before enrolling.

Students may also have options involving CLEP®, DSST, AP, ACE, or NCCRS credits, depending on NAU Colorado Springs's current policies. Not every alternative credit source is automatically accepted, so verify eligibility before completing a course or exam.

Approved credits may count toward general education, major requirements, electives, or other degree requirements depending on the evaluation. National American University-Colorado Springs transfer credits should therefore be reviewed against the specific degree program.

Transfer tip: Check your transfer credit evaluation and compare accepted credits with your National American University-Colorado Springs degree requirements before planning additional coursework.
