CLEP Credits at Northland College

Northland College is a private liberal arts college in Ashland, Wisconsin, on the south shore of Lake Superior. The college is known for its small-campus setting and its location in the Lake Superior region of northern Wisconsin. It serves undergraduate students in a residential college environment.

Northland offers undergraduate study in the liberal arts and sciences, with academic offerings that have historically emphasized environmental studies, natural resources, and related interdisciplinary fields. The college is also known for connecting classroom learning with the surrounding Great Lakes and Northwoods region. Because program offerings can change, prospective students should confirm current majors and minors directly with the college.

For CLEP and transfer credit, Northland College should be treated as a school that evaluates outside credit through its own academic policies rather than by a universal rule. Credit-by-exam and transfer-credit acceptance can vary by exam, score, course equivalency, and degree program. Students interested in CLEP should check whether Northland accepts specific exams and how those credits apply to their intended major or general education requirements.

Students may also have options involving CLEP®, DSST, AP, ACE, or NCCRS credits, depending on Northland College's current policies. Not every alternative credit source is automatically accepted, so verify eligibility before completing a course or exam.

Approved credits may count toward general education, major requirements, electives, or other degree requirements depending on the evaluation. Northland College transfer credits should therefore be reviewed against the specific degree program.
