High School Academic Operations Lead · TransferCredit.org
Iyra leads academic operations at a high school, which in practice means she spends her days at the intersection of course recognition, partner agreements, and the awkward email chains that happen when a student's credit doesn't land where it was supposed to. It's not a glamorous job, but it's where most of the damage gets done or undone.
She's developed a working list — kept mostly in her head — of which colleges handle CLEP and ACE credit cleanly, which ones approve the credit in principle and then quietly route it into electives, and which ones require a syllabus fight to get right. Her writing reflects that list. She'd rather warn a student off a mistake than sound polite.
If a post reads blunt, it's because the alternative is a 19-year-old finding out in July that six of their credits don't count.
