Michele's specialty is the curriculum layer — the mapping between a course a student takes and the requirement that course is supposed to fill on a degree plan. That mapping sounds boring in the abstract and becomes very interesting the moment a student finds out 9 hard-earned credits landed in the elective bucket instead of the gen-ed bucket they needed.

She tracks ACE and NCCRS recommendations closely and knows which ones transfer cleanly, which ones need a syllabus fight to place correctly, and which ones tend to get buried. Her posts are light on motivational language and heavy on specifics, which is her preferred ratio.

Based in Iowa. Strong-tea drinker. Believes long walks solve most problems that aren't a registrar's fault.
