CLEP Exams at Indiana University East

Indiana University East is a public university in Richmond, Indiana, and is part of the Indiana University system. It serves students in east-central Indiana and the surrounding region through a campus-based and online presence. The university offers undergraduate and graduate study in a range of fields.

Academic offerings at IU East include programs in business, education, nursing, the arts and sciences, and other professional areas. The campus is known for providing access to Indiana University degrees in a smaller regional setting. Students can pursue both traditional classroom study and online coursework, depending on the program.

Indiana University East participates in transfer-credit pathways that can include credit by examination, but applicability depends on the receiving program and university policy. CLEP and other exam credits are typically evaluated through official university transfer and credit policies rather than applied automatically. Students should confirm how exam scores fit their degree plan before testing.

Students may also have options involving CLEP®, DSST, AP, ACE, or NCCRS credits, depending on IU East's current policies. Not every alternative credit source is automatically accepted, so verify eligibility before completing a course or exam.

Approved credits may count toward general education, major requirements, electives, or other degree requirements depending on the evaluation. Indiana University East transfer credits should therefore be reviewed against the specific degree program.
