CLEP Exams at Ursinus College

Ursinus College is a private liberal arts college in Collegeville, Pennsylvania, in the Philadelphia metropolitan area. It offers a residential undergraduate experience on a suburban campus. The college is known for its small-college setting and emphasis on close faculty-student interaction.

Ursinus offers a broad liberal arts curriculum with undergraduate majors and interdisciplinary study options across the humanities, social sciences, natural sciences, and arts. The college is also known for experiential learning, including research, internships, and community-based opportunities. Its academic model emphasizes critical thinking, writing, and breadth of study.

For CLEP and transfer-credit purposes, Ursinus College should be treated as a private liberal arts institution that evaluates outside credit through its own academic policies. Credit-by-exam and transfer credit decisions are typically made on a course-by-course basis and depend on institutional standards, departmental review, and how the credit fits the student’s program. Students should confirm current CLEP acceptance and any score or subject restrictions directly with the college.

Students may also have options involving CLEP®, DSST, AP, ACE, or NCCRS credits, depending on Ursinus's current policies. Not every alternative credit source is automatically accepted, so verify eligibility before completing a course or exam.

Approved credits may count toward general education, major requirements, electives, or other degree requirements depending on the evaluation. Ursinus College transfer credits should therefore be reviewed against the specific degree program.
