CLEP Credits at Mount Union College

Mount Union College, now known as the University of Mount Union, is a private institution in Alliance, Ohio. It is a residential liberal arts university serving undergraduate and graduate students in a small-city setting in northeastern Ohio. The campus is located in the city of Alliance, about midway between Akron and Youngstown.

The university offers a broad range of undergraduate majors and graduate programs across the arts, sciences, business, education, and health-related fields. It is known for a liberal arts foundation combined with professional preparation and experiential learning opportunities. Mount Union also fields NCAA Division III athletics and has a long-standing campus community tradition.

For CLEP and transfer-credit purposes, Mount Union is the kind of institution that typically evaluates prior learning through its registrar and academic departments rather than applying a universal credit guarantee. CLEP credit acceptance, if available, depends on the specific exam, score, and the student’s degree program. Students should confirm current policies directly with the university before relying on exam credit for degree planning.

Students may also have options involving CLEP®, DSST, AP, ACE, or NCCRS credits, depending on University of Mount Union's current policies. Not every alternative credit source is automatically accepted, so verify eligibility before completing a course or exam.

Approved credits may count toward general education, major requirements, electives, or other degree requirements depending on the evaluation. Mount Union College transfer credits should therefore be reviewed against the specific degree program.
