CLEP Exams at Philander Smith College

Philander Smith College is a private historically Black college in Little Rock, Arkansas. It is affiliated with the United Methodist Church and serves students in a small, urban campus setting. The college is known for its mission-centered approach to education and community engagement.

The college offers undergraduate programs across the liberal arts, sciences, business, and related professional fields. Philander Smith emphasizes student support, leadership development, and service learning as part of its educational experience. Because program offerings can change, prospective students should confirm current majors and concentrations directly with the college.

Philander Smith College accepts transfer credit subject to institutional review, and students may be able to bring in prior college coursework from regionally accredited institutions. CLEP credit policies are handled through the college's academic and registrar processes, so acceptance depends on the specific exam, score, and degree requirements. Students should consult the college's current transfer and credit-by-exam policies before relying on outside credit.

Students may also have options involving CLEP®, DSST, AP, ACE, or NCCRS credits, depending on PSC's current policies. Not every alternative credit source is automatically accepted, so verify eligibility before completing a course or exam.

Approved credits may count toward general education, major requirements, electives, or other degree requirements depending on the evaluation. Philander Smith College transfer credits should therefore be reviewed against the specific degree program.
