CLEP Credits at Southeast Technical Institute

Southeast Technical Institute is a public technical college in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. It serves students seeking career-focused education and workforce training in the region. The college is known for offering practical, hands-on learning tied to local industry needs.

The institute offers a range of technical and career-oriented programs across fields such as health care, business, information technology, manufacturing, transportation, and skilled trades. Its strengths are typically in applied learning, employer-aligned curricula, and pathways that prepare students for immediate entry into the workforce or further study.

For CLEP and transfer credit purposes, Southeast Technical Institute should be treated as a college that may evaluate prior learning and transfer coursework according to its own policies. Students interested in using CLEP exams or transferring credit should confirm in advance whether the specific exam, score, or course will apply to their program. Policies can vary by program and by department, so the registrar or admissions office is the best source for current guidance.

Students may also have options involving CLEP®, DSST, AP, ACE, or NCCRS credits, depending on Southeast Tech's current policies. Not every alternative credit source is automatically accepted, so verify eligibility before completing a course or exam.

Approved credits may count toward general education, major requirements, electives, or other degree requirements depending on the evaluation. Southeast Technical Institute transfer credits should therefore be reviewed against the specific degree program.
