CLEP Exams at UMGC Asia (Kunsan)

UMGC Asia - Kunsan is an overseas location of the University of Maryland Global Campus, serving students in the Kunsan area in South Korea. UMGC is a public university system with a long history of serving adult and military-affiliated learners. This location is part of UMGC's Asia operations rather than a separate standalone college.

As a UMGC location, Kunsan offers access to the university's online and hybrid academic model and the broader UMGC catalog of undergraduate and graduate study. UMGC is especially known for flexible scheduling, career-oriented programs, and support for working adults and service members. Program availability at a specific overseas site can vary, so students typically confirm local course offerings directly with the campus.

UMGC is generally transfer-friendly and accepts a range of prior learning and transfer credit, including standardized exam credit where applicable. CLEP credit may be considered under UMGC policies, but acceptance depends on the exam, score, and how it fits a student's program requirements. Students should verify current policies before relying on exam credit for degree planning.

Students may also have options involving CLEP®, DSST, AP, ACE, or NCCRS credits, depending on UMGC's current policies. Not every alternative credit source is automatically accepted, so verify eligibility before completing a course or exam.

Approved credits may count toward general education, major requirements, electives, or other degree requirements depending on the evaluation. UMGC Asia - Kunsan transfer credits should therefore be reviewed against the specific degree program.
