CLEP Credits at UMGC Asia (Yongsan)

UMGC Asia - Yongsan is a University of Maryland Global Campus location serving students in the Seoul area from the Yongsan Garrison community. It is part of UMGC's Asia operations, which are designed to support military-affiliated and other adult learners overseas. The campus serves students in a U.S. military community in South Korea rather than operating as a traditional residential campus.

As part of University of Maryland Global Campus, the school offers undergraduate and graduate study in a flexible format oriented toward working adults. UMGC is known for online and hybrid delivery, career-focused programs, and support services for students balancing education with military or professional responsibilities. Specific program availability can vary by location and term.

For CLEP and transfer credit, UMGC is generally transfer-friendly and has long served students who bring in prior college, military, and exam-based credit. CLEP credit acceptance depends on the exam, score, and degree requirements, so students should confirm applicability before relying on it for graduation planning. Because UMGC serves many adult learners, transfer evaluation is an important part of the enrollment process.

Students may also have options involving CLEP®, DSST, AP, ACE, or NCCRS credits, depending on UMGC Asia's current policies. Not every alternative credit source is automatically accepted, so verify eligibility before completing a course or exam.

Approved credits may count toward general education, major requirements, electives, or other degree requirements depending on the evaluation. UMGC Asia - Yongsan transfer credits should therefore be reviewed against the specific degree program.
