CLEP Exams at Louisiana Tech University

Louisiana Tech University is a public university in Ruston, Louisiana. It is part of the University of Louisiana System and serves students from across Louisiana and beyond. The campus is located in north Louisiana in the city of Ruston.

Louisiana Tech offers a broad range of undergraduate and graduate study through colleges and schools in areas such as engineering, business, education, liberal arts, science, and health-related fields. The university is especially known for strengths in engineering, computing, and applied research. It is classified as a research university and has a long-standing focus on innovation and hands-on learning.

For CLEP and transfer-credit purposes, Louisiana Tech is a public university that evaluates prior learning through its own academic policies. Students seeking credit by exam or transfer credit should expect the university to review scores, course equivalencies, and degree applicability before credit is posted. Because policies can change and may vary by department or program, students should confirm current requirements with the university before relying on exam credit for graduation planning.

Students may also have options involving CLEP®, DSST, AP, ACE, or NCCRS credits, depending on La Tech's current policies. Not every alternative credit source is automatically accepted, so verify eligibility before completing a course or exam.

Approved credits may count toward general education, major requirements, electives, or other degree requirements depending on the evaluation. Louisiana Tech University transfer credits should therefore be reviewed against the specific degree program.
