CLEP Exams at Renton Technical College

Renton Technical College is a public technical college in Renton, Washington, in the Seattle metropolitan area. It serves students seeking career-focused education, workforce training, and transfer pathways. The college is part of Washington's public higher-education system.

RTC offers a range of professional and technical programs in areas such as health care, business, information technology, manufacturing, and skilled trades. It is known for hands-on, career-oriented instruction and for serving adult learners as well as recent high school graduates. The college also provides basic education and continuing education options.

For CLEP and transfer-credit purposes, Renton Technical College is a public college that evaluates prior learning and transfer coursework through its own academic policies. Students should expect credit-by-exam and transfer decisions to depend on the specific exam, course equivalency, and program requirements. Because policies can change, students should confirm current CLEP acceptance and placement rules directly with the college.

Students may also have options involving CLEP®, DSST, AP, ACE, or NCCRS credits, depending on RTC's current policies. Not every alternative credit source is automatically accepted, so verify eligibility before completing a course or exam.

Approved credits may count toward general education, major requirements, electives, or other degree requirements depending on the evaluation. Renton Technical College transfer credits should therefore be reviewed against the specific degree program.
