CLEP Credits at Blackburn College

Blackburn College is a private liberal arts college in Carlinville, Illinois. It is known for its small-college setting and its long-standing work program model, which is a distinctive part of campus life. The college serves undergraduate students in a rural Midwestern community.

Blackburn offers a range of undergraduate majors and pre-professional pathways within a liberal arts framework. Its academic profile emphasizes close faculty interaction, experiential learning, and student participation in campus work. The college is also known for combining classroom study with practical responsibilities through its student work program.

For CLEP and transfer-credit purposes, Blackburn College should be treated as a college that evaluates outside credit through its own academic policies rather than as a school with universally transferable credit. Students interested in using CLEP scores or transferring coursework should confirm current acceptance rules directly with the college. Credit-by-exam and transfer decisions can depend on the subject area, score thresholds, and degree requirements.

Students may also have options involving CLEP®, DSST, AP, ACE, or NCCRS credits, depending on Blackburn College's current policies. Not every alternative credit source is automatically accepted, so verify eligibility before completing a course or exam.

Approved credits may count toward general education, major requirements, electives, or other degree requirements depending on the evaluation. Blackburn College transfer credits should therefore be reviewed against the specific degree program.
