CLEP Exams at East Texas Baptist University

East Texas Baptist University is a private Christian university in Marshall, Texas. It is affiliated with the Baptist tradition and serves students in East Texas and beyond. The university’s campus is located in the city of Marshall in the northeastern part of the state.

ETBU offers undergraduate and graduate study across a range of academic areas, including liberal arts, business, education, nursing, and other professional fields. The university emphasizes faith-based learning, service, and leadership development. Its academic profile is shaped by a mix of traditional classroom study and applied learning opportunities.

For transfer and credit-by-exam purposes, students should consult ETBU’s current transfer credit and admissions policies before relying on CLEP or other exam results. Like many universities, ETBU evaluates outside credit according to institutional standards and degree requirements. Acceptance of CLEP credit can vary by subject, score, and how the credit fits a student’s program.

Students may also have options involving CLEP®, DSST, AP, ACE, or NCCRS credits, depending on ETBU's current policies. Not every alternative credit source is automatically accepted, so verify eligibility before completing a course or exam.

Approved credits may count toward general education, major requirements, electives, or other degree requirements depending on the evaluation. East Texas Baptist University transfer credits should therefore be reviewed against the specific degree program.
