CLEP Credits at Samford University

Samford University is a private Christian university in Birmingham, Alabama. It is located in the Homewood area of the Birmingham metropolitan area and serves undergraduate and graduate students. The university is affiliated with the Baptist tradition.

Samford offers a broad range of academic programs through its colleges and schools, including liberal arts, business, education, health professions, law, pharmacy, and theology. It is known for combining professional preparation with a liberal arts foundation. The university also emphasizes experiential learning and service.

For CLEP and transfer-credit purposes, Samford evaluates prior college work and standardized-exam credit through its own academic policies. Students should expect credit decisions to depend on the specific exam, score, course equivalency, and degree program. Because policies can change, applicants should confirm current CLEP and transfer-credit rules directly with Samford before relying on outside credit.

Students may also have options involving CLEP®, DSST, AP, ACE, or NCCRS credits, depending on Samford's current policies. Not every alternative credit source is automatically accepted, so verify eligibility before completing a course or exam.

Approved credits may count toward general education, major requirements, electives, or other degree requirements depending on the evaluation. Samford University transfer credits should therefore be reviewed against the specific degree program.
