CLEP Credits at Columbia Basin College

Columbia Basin College is a public community college in Pasco, Washington, serving the Tri-Cities region and surrounding communities in south-central Washington. It is part of Washington's community and technical college system and offers open-access higher education options for local and regional students.

The college offers associate degrees, certificates, and workforce-oriented programs, along with transfer pathways for students planning to continue to four-year institutions. Its academic offerings span liberal arts, professional-technical, and career training areas, with support services designed for student success and transfer preparation.

For CLEP and transfer-credit purposes, Columbia Basin College is the kind of institution where students commonly use exam credit and prior learning to support degree progress, but acceptance depends on the college's own policies and the requirements of the specific program or degree. Students should confirm whether CLEP scores, AP credit, or other transfer work will apply to their intended credential before enrolling or testing.

Students may also have options involving CLEP®, DSST, AP, ACE, or NCCRS credits, depending on CBC's current policies. Not every alternative credit source is automatically accepted, so verify eligibility before completing a course or exam.

Approved credits may count toward general education, major requirements, electives, or other degree requirements depending on the evaluation. Columbia Basin College transfer credits should therefore be reviewed against the specific degree program.
