CLEP Exams at Georgia Piedmont Technical College

Georgia Piedmont Technical College is a public technical college in Clarkston, Georgia, serving students in the Atlanta metropolitan area. It is part of the Technical College System of Georgia and offers career-focused education and workforce training. The college also serves learners through multiple instructional formats and campus locations in its service area.

The college offers associate degrees, diplomas, and technical certificates in career and technical fields. Its academic offerings are designed to support immediate employment, career advancement, and further study. As a technical college, it is oriented toward applied learning and industry-aligned programs rather than traditional four-year liberal arts study.

For CLEP and transfer-credit purposes, Georgia Piedmont Technical College should be treated as a public two-year technical college that may evaluate prior learning and outside coursework according to its own policies. Students interested in using CLEP scores or transferring credit should confirm current requirements with the college before enrolling. Credit acceptance can vary by program, course equivalency, and academic department.

Students may also have options involving CLEP®, DSST, AP, ACE, or NCCRS credits, depending on Georgia Piedmont Tech's current policies. Not every alternative credit source is automatically accepted, so verify eligibility before completing a course or exam.

Approved credits may count toward general education, major requirements, electives, or other degree requirements depending on the evaluation. Georgia Piedmont Technical College transfer credits should therefore be reviewed against the specific degree program.
