For CLEP and transfer-credit purposes, Alpena Community College is a public two-year college that may evaluate prior learning and exam-based credit through its established academic policies. Students interested in CLEP should confirm in advance whether a specific exam score will be accepted and how it will apply to their program requirements.

Students may also have options involving CLEP®, DSST, AP, ACE, or NCCRS credits, depending on ACC's current policies. Not every alternative credit source is automatically accepted, so verify eligibility before completing a course or exam.

Approved credits may count toward general education, major requirements, electives, or other degree requirements depending on the evaluation. Alpena Community College transfer credits should therefore be reviewed against the specific degree program.
