CLEP Exams at Ohio Northern University

Ohio Northern University is a private university in Ada, Ohio. It is located in northwest Ohio and serves undergraduate and graduate students in a small-college setting. The university is known for combining liberal arts and professional study.

ONU offers a range of academic programs through its colleges and schools, including arts and sciences, business, engineering, pharmacy, and law. It is especially known for professional preparation in fields such as engineering, pharmacy, and law, alongside traditional undergraduate study. The campus environment emphasizes close faculty interaction and hands-on learning.

For CLEP and transfer-credit purposes, Ohio Northern University is the kind of institution where students should expect credit decisions to be made by the university rather than assumed from a test score alone. CLEP, AP, IB, military, and prior-college credit policies can vary by department and program. Students should confirm in advance whether a specific exam or course will apply to their intended degree.

Students may also have options involving CLEP®, DSST, AP, ACE, or NCCRS credits, depending on ONU's current policies. Not every alternative credit source is automatically accepted, so verify eligibility before completing a course or exam.

Approved credits may count toward general education, major requirements, electives, or other degree requirements depending on the evaluation. Ohio Northern University transfer credits should therefore be reviewed against the specific degree program.
