Students interested in CLEP should confirm in advance whether a specific exam will apply to their program requirements and how the credit will be recorded. Transferability of CLEP credit can depend on the receiving institution and the student’s degree plan.

Students may also have options involving CLEP®, DSST, AP, ACE, or NCCRS credits, depending on RLC's current policies. Not every alternative credit source is automatically accepted, so verify eligibility before completing a course or exam.

Approved credits may count toward general education, major requirements, electives, or other degree requirements depending on the evaluation. Rend Lake College transfer credits should therefore be reviewed against the specific degree program.
