CLEP Exams at Southern Adventist University

Southern Adventist University is a private university in Collegedale, Tennessee, in the Chattanooga metropolitan area. It is affiliated with the Seventh-day Adventist Church and serves students in a faith-based higher-education setting. The university’s main campus is in Collegedale, with a focus on undergraduate and graduate education.

Southern offers a broad range of academic programs across liberal arts, sciences, health professions, business, education, and religion. It is especially known for programs connected to health care and service-oriented professional preparation. The university also emphasizes experiential learning and a values-based educational environment.

For transfer and credit-by-exam purposes, Southern Adventist University is a regionally accredited institution, so students should expect standard transfer-credit review rather than automatic acceptance of all outside coursework. CLEP and other exam credits are typically evaluated according to institutional policy, program requirements, and applicable accreditation standards. Students should confirm in advance how any exam credit will apply to their intended major or degree plan.

Students may also have options involving CLEP®, DSST, AP, ACE, or NCCRS credits, depending on SAU's current policies. Not every alternative credit source is automatically accepted, so verify eligibility before completing a course or exam.

Approved credits may count toward general education, major requirements, electives, or other degree requirements depending on the evaluation. Southern Adventist University transfer credits should therefore be reviewed against the specific degree program.
