CLEP Exams at University of the Southwest

University of the Southwest is a private Christian university in Hobbs, New Mexico. It serves students through undergraduate and graduate study and is based in the southeastern part of the state. The university emphasizes a values-based educational environment.

The university offers a range of academic programs across business, education, counseling, and other professional fields. It is known for serving both traditional and adult learners, with coursework designed for students seeking career-oriented degrees. Specific program availability can change, so prospective students should confirm current offerings directly with the university.

For CLEP and transfer credit purposes, University of the Southwest is the kind of institution that typically evaluates prior learning through its admissions and registrar processes. Students who have earned credit by exam or at other colleges should expect the university to review official score reports and transcripts before determining how the credit applies. Policies can vary by program and degree level, so the school’s current transfer-credit guidelines are the best source for exact requirements.

Students may also have options involving CLEP®, DSST, AP, ACE, or NCCRS credits, depending on University of the Southwest's current policies. Not every alternative credit source is automatically accepted, so verify eligibility before completing a course or exam.

Approved credits may count toward general education, major requirements, electives, or other degree requirements depending on the evaluation. University of the Southwest transfer credits should therefore be reviewed against the specific degree program.
