CLEP Credits at Covenant College

Covenant College is a private Christian liberal arts college in Lookout Mountain, Georgia, near the Tennessee border. It is affiliated with the Presbyterian Church in America and serves undergraduate students in a residential campus setting. The college emphasizes a faith-based liberal arts education.

Covenant offers undergraduate programs across the arts and sciences, with majors in areas such as business, education, humanities, natural sciences, and social sciences. The college is known for integrating Christian faith with academic study and for its small-college environment. Students can pursue a broad liberal arts curriculum alongside major-specific coursework.

For CLEP and transfer credit purposes, Covenant College is a private institution, so credit acceptance is determined by its own academic policies rather than a statewide public-college system. Students considering CLEP or other prior-learning credit should consult Covenant's current transfer and examination-credit guidelines before testing. Policies can vary by exam, score, course equivalency, and degree program.

Students may also have options involving CLEP®, DSST, AP, ACE, or NCCRS credits, depending on Covenant College's current policies. Not every alternative credit source is automatically accepted, so verify eligibility before completing a course or exam.

Approved credits may count toward general education, major requirements, electives, or other degree requirements depending on the evaluation. Covenant College transfer credits should therefore be reviewed against the specific degree program.
