CLEP Credits at Northern Marianas College

Northern Marianas College is a public community college in Saipan, in the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands. It serves students across the CNMI and the broader Micronesian region. The college is the only public higher-education institution in the Commonwealth.

The college offers associate degrees, certificates, and workforce-oriented programs, along with general education coursework designed for transfer. Its academic mission includes preparing students for employment, further study, and community service. Northern Marianas College is also known for serving a geographically dispersed island population.

For CLEP and transfer-credit purposes, Northern Marianas College is a public college that evaluates prior learning and outside coursework through its academic policies. Students seeking credit by examination or transfer credit should expect review based on the college's published requirements and the receiving program's standards. Because policies can change, students should confirm current CLEP acceptance and transfer rules directly with the college.

Students may also have options involving CLEP®, DSST, AP, ACE, or NCCRS credits, depending on NMC's current policies. Not every alternative credit source is automatically accepted, so verify eligibility before completing a course or exam.

Approved credits may count toward general education, major requirements, electives, or other degree requirements depending on the evaluation. Northern Marianas College transfer credits should therefore be reviewed against the specific degree program.
