Rockhurst University is a private Jesuit university in Kansas City, Missouri. It is located in the Rockhurst neighborhood on the city’s south side and serves undergraduate and graduate students. The university is part of the Jesuit tradition of higher education.

It is known for a liberal arts foundation, professional preparation, and service-oriented education. The university also has well-known programs in business, health sciences, education, and the sciences.

For transfer and credit-by-exam planning, Rockhurst students should work directly with the university because credit acceptance is determined by institutional policy and academic review. CLEP and other exam credits are commonly handled through registrar and academic advising processes at colleges like Rockhurst, but applicability can vary by course, score, and degree program. Students should confirm how any prior learning or exam credit will apply before enrolling.

Students may also have options involving CLEP®, DSST, AP, ACE, or NCCRS credits, depending on RU's current policies. Not every alternative credit source is automatically accepted, so verify eligibility before completing a course or exam.

Approved credits may count toward general education, major requirements, electives, or other degree requirements depending on the evaluation. Rockhurst University transfer credits should therefore be reviewed against the specific degree program.
