CLEP Credits at Salina Area Technical College

Salina Area Technical College is a public technical college in Salina, Kansas. It serves students seeking career-focused education and workforce training in the Salina area and beyond. The college is oriented toward hands-on, applied learning rather than a traditional four-year liberal arts model.

The college offers technical and career programs designed to prepare students for employment in fields such as health care, skilled trades, business, and other applied disciplines. Its strengths are in practical training, industry-aligned instruction, and pathways that support immediate entry into the workforce. Program availability can change over time, so prospective students should confirm current offerings directly with the college.

For CLEP and transfer-credit purposes, Salina Area Technical College should be treated as a college that may evaluate prior learning and outside credit according to its own academic policies. CLEP acceptance is not assumed automatically and can vary by program, course equivalency, and department. Students should check with the college before taking an exam if they want the credit to apply to a specific requirement.

Students may also have options involving CLEP®, DSST, AP, ACE, or NCCRS credits, depending on Salina Tech's current policies. Not every alternative credit source is automatically accepted, so verify eligibility before completing a course or exam.

Approved credits may count toward general education, major requirements, electives, or other degree requirements depending on the evaluation. Salina Area Technical College transfer credits should therefore be reviewed against the specific degree program.
