Sheridan College is a public community college in Sheridan, Wyoming, serving students in the local area and beyond through campus-based and online learning options. It is part of the Wyoming community college system and offers open-access higher education opportunities.

The college provides associate degrees, certificates, and workforce-oriented training in a range of academic and technical fields. Community colleges like Sheridan typically emphasize transfer preparation, career and technical education, and support services for students planning to continue to a four-year institution.

For CLEP and transfer-credit purposes, Sheridan College is the kind of institution that commonly evaluates prior learning and exam-based credit through established academic policies. Students interested in CLEP should confirm in advance how specific exams may apply to their program, since credit acceptance can depend on the subject, score, and degree requirements.

Students may also have options involving CLEP®, DSST, AP, ACE, or NCCRS credits, depending on Sheridan College's current policies. Not every alternative credit source is automatically accepted, so verify eligibility before completing a course or exam.

Approved credits may count toward general education, major requirements, electives, or other degree requirements depending on the evaluation. Sheridan College transfer credits should therefore be reviewed against the specific degree program.
