CLEP Exams at Southwest Baptist University

Southwest Baptist University is a private Christian university in Bolivar, Missouri. It serves students on its main campus in Bolivar and through additional instructional locations and online offerings. The university is affiliated with the Missouri Baptist Convention.

SBU offers undergraduate and graduate study across a range of fields, including liberal arts, business, education, nursing, and other professional programs. The university emphasizes Christian faith, service, and career preparation. Specific program availability can vary by campus, level, and delivery format.

For CLEP and transfer-credit purposes, Southwest Baptist University is the kind of institution that typically evaluates prior learning through its registrar and academic departments rather than applying a single blanket rule to every course. Students should expect credit-by-exam and transfer decisions to depend on the exam, score, course equivalency, and degree program. The university's published policies should be checked directly for the most current CLEP acceptance details.

Students may also have options involving CLEP®, DSST, AP, ACE, or NCCRS credits, depending on SBU's current policies. Not every alternative credit source is automatically accepted, so verify eligibility before completing a course or exam.

Approved credits may count toward general education, major requirements, electives, or other degree requirements depending on the evaluation. Southwest Baptist University transfer credits should therefore be reviewed against the specific degree program.
