CLEP Credits at Florida Memorial University

Florida Memorial University is a private historically Black university in Miami Gardens, Florida. It is located in the Miami metropolitan area and serves students in South Florida and beyond. The university traces its origins to 1879.

Florida Memorial University offers undergraduate and graduate study across a range of academic areas. Its programs include liberal arts, business, education, and other professional fields, with an emphasis on preparing students for careers and graduate study. As an HBCU, it also has a mission centered on access, leadership, and student support.

For CLEP and transfer-credit purposes, Florida Memorial University is the kind of institution that typically evaluates prior learning through its academic policies rather than granting automatic credit for every exam or course. Students interested in CLEP, dual enrollment, or transfer work should confirm which exams, scores, and courses are accepted before enrolling. Credit acceptance can vary by department, program, and degree requirements.

Students may also have options involving CLEP®, DSST, AP, ACE, or NCCRS credits, depending on FMU's current policies. Not every alternative credit source is automatically accepted, so verify eligibility before completing a course or exam.

Approved credits may count toward general education, major requirements, electives, or other degree requirements depending on the evaluation. Florida Memorial University transfer credits should therefore be reviewed against the specific degree program.
