CLEP Credits at Hartwick College

Hartwick College is a private liberal arts college in Oneonta, New York. It is located in central New York and serves undergraduate students in a residential campus setting. The college is known for a broad liberal arts curriculum and a close-knit campus community.

Hartwick offers undergraduate study across the arts and sciences, with majors and pre-professional pathways in a range of fields. As a liberal arts college, it emphasizes small classes, faculty interaction, and experiential learning. Students can combine classroom study with internships, research, and other hands-on opportunities.

For CLEP and transfer-credit purposes, Hartwick College should be treated as a college that evaluates outside credit through its own academic policies rather than as a school with universally guaranteed acceptance of exam credit. Credit-by-exam and transfer credit decisions are typically made on a case-by-case basis by the institution. Students should confirm in advance whether a specific CLEP exam or transfer course will apply to their intended program.

Students may also have options involving CLEP®, DSST, AP, ACE, or NCCRS credits, depending on Hartwick College's current policies. Not every alternative credit source is automatically accepted, so verify eligibility before completing a course or exam.

Approved credits may count toward general education, major requirements, electives, or other degree requirements depending on the evaluation. Hartwick College transfer credits should therefore be reviewed against the specific degree program.
