For students considering CLEP or transfer credit, Howard Payne University is the kind of institution where credit policies should be checked carefully against the university's current transfer and examination-credit rules. CLEP acceptance and transferability can vary by exam, score, course equivalency, and degree program. Students should confirm whether a specific exam or prior coursework applies to their intended major or graduation requirements.

Students may also have options involving CLEP®, DSST, AP, ACE, or NCCRS credits, depending on HPU's current policies. Not every alternative credit source is automatically accepted, so verify eligibility before completing a course or exam.

Approved credits may count toward general education, major requirements, electives, or other degree requirements depending on the evaluation. Howard Payne University transfer credits should therefore be reviewed against the specific degree program.
