CLEP Credits at Lipscomb University

Lipscomb University is a private Christian university in Nashville, Tennessee. It is affiliated with the Churches of Christ and serves students in a campus setting in the city’s Green Hills area. The university combines undergraduate, graduate, and professional study in a single institution.

Lipscomb offers a broad range of academic programs through its colleges and schools, including business, education, engineering, health sciences, law, and the arts and sciences. It is known for integrating faith and learning, and for professional and pre-professional preparation alongside liberal arts study. The university also emphasizes experiential learning and service-oriented education.

For students considering CLEP or transfer credit, Lipscomb’s policies are handled through the university’s official transfer and registrar processes. Credit-by-exam and transfer credit decisions are typically based on official score reports, course equivalencies, and academic department or registrar review. Students should confirm in advance whether a specific CLEP exam or outside course will apply to their intended program.

Students may also have options involving CLEP®, DSST, AP, ACE, or NCCRS credits, depending on Lipscomb's current policies. Not every alternative credit source is automatically accepted, so verify eligibility before completing a course or exam.

Approved credits may count toward general education, major requirements, electives, or other degree requirements depending on the evaluation. Lipscomb University transfer credits should therefore be reviewed against the specific degree program.
