Transfer credit policy

How Transfer Credits Work at Southern Wesleyan University

For transfer and credit-by-exam planning, Southern Wesleyan University accepts transfer credit subject to institutional review and published academic policies. CLEP credit may be considered where it fits the university's requirements, but applicability depends on the exam, score, and the student's program of study. Students should confirm current policies with the university before relying on exam credit.

Students may also have options involving CLEP®, DSST, AP, ACE, or NCCRS credits, depending on SWU's current policies. Not every alternative credit source is automatically accepted, so verify eligibility before completing a course or exam.

Approved credits may count toward general education, major requirements, electives, or other degree requirements depending on the evaluation. Southern Wesleyan University transfer credits should therefore be reviewed against the specific degree program.

Transfer tip: Check your transfer credit evaluation and compare accepted credits with your Southern Wesleyan University degree requirements before planning additional coursework.
