The University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma is a public university in Chickasha, Oklahoma. It is the state’s designated public liberal arts college and serves students in a small-campus setting in south-central Oklahoma. The university emphasizes undergraduate education and a broad liberal arts experience.

USAO offers undergraduate study across the arts, sciences, humanities, and professional fields. It is known for its interdisciplinary approach and for encouraging students to combine classroom learning with research, performance, and other hands-on experiences. As a liberal arts institution, it is designed to provide a broad academic foundation rather than a highly specialized graduate-focused model.

For transfer and credit-by-exam purposes, USAO is the kind of institution that commonly evaluates prior college work and standardized exam credit through established academic policies. The university’s transfer-credit practices are best understood through its official academic policies rather than assumed from general statewide norms.

Students may also have options involving CLEP®, DSST, AP, ACE, or NCCRS credits, depending on USAO's current policies. Not every alternative credit source is automatically accepted, so verify eligibility before completing a course or exam.

Approved credits may count toward general education, major requirements, electives, or other degree requirements depending on the evaluation. University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma transfer credits should therefore be reviewed against the specific degree program.
