CLEP Exams at Doane College

Doane College, now known as Doane University, is a private liberal arts institution in Crete, Nebraska. Its main campus is in the city of Crete, and the university also serves students through additional locations and online offerings. It is a long-established Nebraska college with a strong regional presence.

Doane offers undergraduate and graduate study across a range of liberal arts and professional fields. The university is known for combining classroom learning with practical experience, and it has programs in areas such as business, education, health-related fields, and the arts and sciences. Because it is a small private institution, students often experience close faculty interaction and a personalized academic environment.

For CLEP and transfer-credit purposes, Doane is the kind of institution that commonly evaluates prior learning through established academic policies rather than blanket acceptance. Students seeking credit by exam or transfer credit should expect review based on course equivalency, score thresholds, and degree applicability. The exact treatment of CLEP exams can vary by department, program, and catalog year, so students should confirm current policy with the university before testing.

Students may also have options involving CLEP®, DSST, AP, ACE, or NCCRS credits, depending on Doane's current policies. Not every alternative credit source is automatically accepted, so verify eligibility before completing a course or exam.

Approved credits may count toward general education, major requirements, electives, or other degree requirements depending on the evaluation. Doane College transfer credits should therefore be reviewed against the specific degree program.
