Pepperdine University is a private Christian university in Malibu, California, with additional campuses and graduate sites in Southern California and beyond. Its main Malibu campus overlooks the Pacific Ocean and is one of the university's best-known features. Pepperdine is affiliated with the Churches of Christ tradition.

The university offers undergraduate, graduate, and professional study across areas such as business, law, education, public policy, psychology, and the arts and sciences. Pepperdine is especially known for its graduate and professional schools, including the Caruso School of Law and the Graziadio Business School. The university emphasizes values-based education, leadership, and service.

For CLEP and transfer credit purposes, Pepperdine evaluates prior college-level learning through its own academic policies rather than automatically accepting every external exam or course. Credit-by-exam and transfer credit decisions can vary by school, program, and course equivalency. Students should consult Pepperdine's official transfer and registrar resources before relying on outside credit.

Students may also have options involving CLEP®, DSST, AP, ACE, or NCCRS credits, depending on Pepperdine's current policies. Not every alternative credit source is automatically accepted, so verify eligibility before completing a course or exam.

Approved credits may count toward general education, major requirements, electives, or other degree requirements depending on the evaluation. Pepperdine University - Malibu transfer credits should therefore be reviewed against the specific degree program.
