CLEP Exams at Russell Sage College

Russell Sage College is a private college in Troy, New York, in the Capital Region of upstate New York. It is part of the Russell Sage Colleges system, which also includes a campus in Albany. The college serves undergraduate and graduate students in a small-college setting.

Russell Sage offers a range of academic programs in the liberal arts, sciences, health professions, education, business, and related professional fields. The college is known for career-oriented study combined with hands-on learning and close faculty interaction. Its academic profile is especially strong in areas that prepare students for professional licensure and applied careers.

For CLEP and transfer credit purposes, Russell Sage College is the kind of institution that typically evaluates prior college-level learning through its registrar or admissions processes. Students interested in using CLEP scores or transferring coursework should confirm current policies directly with the college, since credit acceptance can vary by exam, score, course equivalency, and academic program. The safest assumption is that credit is not automatic and must be reviewed for applicability to a specific degree plan.

Students may also have options involving CLEP®, DSST, AP, ACE, or NCCRS credits, depending on Russell Sage's current policies. Not every alternative credit source is automatically accepted, so verify eligibility before completing a course or exam.

Approved credits may count toward general education, major requirements, electives, or other degree requirements depending on the evaluation. Russell Sage College transfer credits should therefore be reviewed against the specific degree program.
