CLEP Credits at Saint Edward's University

Saint Edward's University is a private Catholic university in Austin, Texas. It is located on a hilltop campus in the city and serves undergraduate and graduate students. The university is known for its liberal arts tradition and its setting in one of Texas's major metropolitan areas.

The university offers a range of undergraduate majors and graduate programs across the arts, humanities, business, education, and the sciences. It is especially associated with a personalized learning environment and a mission grounded in Catholic and Holy Cross traditions. Students often choose Saint Edward's for its small-college feel combined with access to internships and professional opportunities in Austin.

For CLEP and transfer credit purposes, Saint Edward's University evaluates prior learning and transfer coursework through its academic policies rather than guaranteeing automatic acceptance of every exam or course. CLEP credit, if awarded, is typically subject to institutional review, score requirements, and applicability to degree requirements. Students should confirm current policies with the university before relying on exam credit for a specific program.

Students may also have options involving CLEP®, DSST, AP, ACE, or NCCRS credits, depending on St. Edward's's current policies. Not every alternative credit source is automatically accepted, so verify eligibility before completing a course or exam.

Approved credits may count toward general education, major requirements, electives, or other degree requirements depending on the evaluation. Saint Edward's University transfer credits should therefore be reviewed against the specific degree program.
