CLEP Exams at Wartburg College

Wartburg College is a private liberal arts college in Waverly, Iowa. It is affiliated with the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America and serves undergraduate students in a residential campus setting. The college is located in northeast Iowa and is known for a close-knit campus community.

Wartburg offers a broad liberal arts curriculum with undergraduate majors, pre-professional preparation, and opportunities for experiential learning. The college is especially known for strong programs in the arts, sciences, education, business, and music. Students can also participate in internships, research, study away, and service-oriented learning.

For transfer and credit-by-exam purposes, Wartburg College evaluates prior college coursework and may award credit according to its transfer policies. CLEP credit acceptance is handled by the college through its registrar and academic policies, so students should confirm current subject-area rules before testing. As with many private colleges, applicability of transfer or exam credit can depend on the score earned and how the credit fits a student’s degree plan.

Students may also have options involving CLEP®, DSST, AP, ACE, or NCCRS credits, depending on Wartburg's current policies. Not every alternative credit source is automatically accepted, so verify eligibility before completing a course or exam.

Approved credits may count toward general education, major requirements, electives, or other degree requirements depending on the evaluation. Wartburg College transfer credits should therefore be reviewed against the specific degree program.
