CLEP Credits at Ashland University

Ashland University is a private university in Ashland, Ohio. Its main campus is in the city of Ashland in north-central Ohio. The university serves undergraduate and graduate students in a campus setting with a mix of liberal arts and professional study.

Ashland offers a broad range of academic programs through its colleges and schools, including undergraduate majors, graduate degrees, and professional programs. The university is known for programs in education, business, nursing, and the arts and sciences. It also emphasizes experiential learning and preparation for careers and graduate study.

For CLEP and transfer credit purposes, Ashland University is the kind of institution that commonly evaluates prior learning through established academic policies rather than automatic blanket acceptance. Students interested in credit by exam or transfer credit should expect the university to review scores, course equivalencies, and degree applicability. The exact treatment can vary by program and academic department, so students should confirm current policies with the university before relying on any exam credit.

Students may also have options involving CLEP®, DSST, AP, ACE, or NCCRS credits, depending on AU's current policies. Not every alternative credit source is automatically accepted, so verify eligibility before completing a course or exam.

Approved credits may count toward general education, major requirements, electives, or other degree requirements depending on the evaluation. Ashland University transfer credits should therefore be reviewed against the specific degree program.
