CLEP Exams at California Baptist College

California Baptist College is a private Christian institution in Riverside, California. It is now known as California Baptist University, but the college name is still sometimes used in reference to the institution’s earlier history. The university is affiliated with the California Southern Baptist Convention and serves students in the Inland Empire region and beyond.

The university offers a broad range of undergraduate and graduate programs across fields such as business, education, nursing, engineering, behavioral sciences, and the arts and sciences. It is known for combining faith-based education with professional preparation and for offering both traditional campus-based study and online options. Because program availability can change, prospective students should confirm current majors and degree pathways directly with the university.

For CLEP and transfer-credit purposes, California Baptist University is the relevant institution to check rather than the historical college name. The university has policies for evaluating transfer and prior learning credit, and standardized exam credit such as CLEP is typically handled through official academic review. Students should verify which exams are accepted, what minimum scores are required, and how credits apply to their intended major.

Students may also have options involving CLEP®, DSST, AP, ACE, or NCCRS credits, depending on CBU's current policies. Not every alternative credit source is automatically accepted, so verify eligibility before completing a course or exam.

Approved credits may count toward general education, major requirements, electives, or other degree requirements depending on the evaluation. California Baptist College transfer credits should therefore be reviewed against the specific degree program.
